Tasting Notes

On the nose, the aromas showed concentration and depth with nuances of ripe plums and cassis. Top aromas were strawberries and Japanese apricot; at the centre, wood nuance of cool spice, raw wood, raisins and sweet tobacco from high quality oak.
On the palate, plenty of structured acidity with linear fruit. Reaching mid-palate, juicy fruit flavours spread like a fan-shape across the mouth, balanced. From mid to finish, voluminous concentrated fruit balanced by acidity, serious but tranquil, finishing with a soft embrace. The beauty of the wine lies in its high quality ripe blueberry flavours and concentration within softness. (Tasting note according to Naohisa Itou)
