Sawahime sake has acquired many awards at the IWC, National New Sake Awards as well as more regional awards over the years. In recent years, their Sawahime Ginjo received the prestigious "Champion Sake" award in 2022, which is the highest prize at the International Wine Competition IWC2022. With the goal being to represent Tochigi and the local community, 100% of rice used for brewing is rice grown in the Tochigi region. There is a strong commitment to the development and support of local agriculture and thus, the creators of Sawahime have made a strong commitment to representing that which comes from their backyard. Above all, they strive to be beloved by their community and through that dedication they hope that that love for their region will continue to expand nationally and internationally.
