龍神 純米大吟醸 生詰
GOLD MEDAL - INTERNATIONAL WINE CHALLENGE, 2017, JUNMAI DAIGINJO
Tasting Notes
Ryujin Shuzo has a brewing legacy dating back over 500 years, when it was first founded in the 1500s in Gunma Prefecture.
The range of sakes from this storied brewery is nothing short of eclectic & appeals to a new generation of sake lovers. The range of Ryujin sakes are much sought after by owners of the best sakes bars throughout Japan.
Namazume refers to the process where, for Ryujin Shuzo, flash pasteurisation takes place just after squeezing & rapidly chilled back down to zero degrees celsius within minutes. This retains the bracing fresh profile of the sake while de-naturing the enzymes.
Ripe melons, balanced acidity gentle accents of kyoho grapes.
Great with grilled chicken & cream based pastas.
