The 12 buildings of the brewery have been registered as a cultural property since 2009 due to their exceptional historical design using local tuff bricks and featuring stained glass fixtures.
As a sake producer, Higashi Shuzo commits itself to brewing only small batch, high quality Ginjo, Honjozo and Junmai sake with pristine water flowing from Mount Hakusan, maintaining a strong focus on the local community and natural environment, perfectly pairing with light, seafood dishes of the region.
